Celebrating The Small Wins in Your Business Creation Journey

It’s easy to get so caught up with your never-ending to-do list, replying to clients on time, staying on top of content creation, and the pressure to follow the latest social media trend that you forget to actually pay attention to and celebrate the wins in your business creation journey.

In the last 24 hours, I got a new subscriber on YouTube, three new followers on Instagram, a warm e-mail from someone who followed my free workshop, and I booked a free coaching session with a business creator to discuss their current difficulties and find solutions... This is a big deal for me at this stage of the development of my business! And this is something I WANT to pay attention to.

I want to pay attention to it because it’s telling me that I’m doing something right. It’s telling me that all my hard work is starting to pay off. And it’s encouraging me to keep going.

This kind of activity might seem small to business owners and content creators who have been playing the game for a while and who get consistent and bigger results, but to me, this is huge. This is a big week. This is a winning week!

I’ve been working hard to get here. I show up online every week, I publish blogposts when I’m not sure anyone really reads them, I release YouTube videos weekly when I have only eleven followers (now twelve ;)), and I worked my heart out to make my Limiting Beliefs workshop a useful and good quality offer for participants...

So today I am taking it all in. The new followers, the email I re-read five times already, the likes on my videos... I take it all in!

The business creation journey is a long one and it’s really a good idea to pay attention to all the small good things that happen on the way to your big goals. If not, you’re going to get discouraged.

You don’t need to have a full celebratory ceremony to acknowledge it, but taking a deep breath when it happens and actually thinking about all the work it took you to get there, and acknowledging that it’s starting to pay off, can really give you a boost to regain confidence in yourself, your project, and provide you with invaluable fuel to keep going!

One of the dangers of the business creation journey is to give up before you get to the finish line (which doesn’t actually exists). I know I am playing a long-term game. Especially with content creation, and I know I have to be fine with results not being there right away. I know one day they will show up, and one day it will all pay off for good.

Don't get me wrong, it already does. Even if I have helped only a handful of people so far move forward with more confidence in themselves or new tools to overcome difficulties and obstacles, this is what I call a payoff already.

Yesterday when I came home from teaching my Limiting Beliefs workshop I was on cloud nine! It felt so good to get to do the one thing I do all of this for, coaching!

Another win to celebrate this week is that I got my first subscriber to my newsletter. I told you I’d always be honest with what’s going on in my business creation journey, so I'm not afraid to share this.

I announced my newsletter two months ago and only now did I get a subscriber. But it happened because I persisted. Because I didn’t give up when no one signed up for the first two months.

Celebrate the small wins. Stay consistent. Keep showing up. Keep doing one right thing after another, and I honestly believe that if you are truly aligned with what you are doing and that you are answering your calling, things will work out for you.

I believe they will for me :)
